Redback Spiders
The dangerous ones. We find them around outdoor furniture, in letterboxes, garden sheds, and under eaves. Very common in suburban areas like Kawana and Mountain Creek. These need professional treatment.
Huntsman Spiders
The big ones that scare people. Harmless but unsettling when you find one on your bedroom wall at 2am. They’re everywhere on the coast, especially during heavy rain when they come inside seeking shelter.
White-Tailed Spiders
These don’t build webs, they hunt at night. We see them a lot in older homes in Nambour and Sippy Downs. Their bite can cause pain and swelling.

2. Remove Webs & Egg Sacs
Before treating, we physically remove all visible webs and egg sacs using extension poles. This is crucial – egg sacs can contain hundreds of baby spiders.
3. Apply Weather-Resistant Treatment
We use professional products that work in coastal humidity and last 6-12 months. We treat all spider harbourage areas plus create a barrier around your property perimeter.
4. Prevention Advice
We’ll point out what’s attracting spiders to your property – usually moisture issues, outdoor lighting drawing insects, or vegetation touching the house.

How long does treatment last on the Sunshine Coast?
Typically 6-12 months. Coastal properties near the beach may need treatment every 6 months due to higher humidity. Properties further inland can often go 12 months. All clients get a 6-month warranty.
Is it safe for my kids and pets?
Yes. Once dry (2-4 hours), treatments are completely safe. We use products specifically registered for domestic use. Keep pets inside during treatment and for a few hours after.
Do you remove spider webs?
Absolutely. We remove all visible webs and egg sacs before treating. This is essential for effective control – many DIY treatments miss this step.
What about the underside of Queenslander homes?
Yes, we treat under raised homes. This is often the most infested area and nearly impossible for homeowners to treat themselves. It’s included in our standard service.

I keep finding huntsman spiders - why?
Huntsmen hunt other insects. If you’re seeing them regularly, you likely have high insect populations (their food). We treat for both. They also enter during heavy rain seeking shelter. Sealing gaps around windows and doors helps.
How often should I get treatment?
Once a year for most properties. High-risk areas (bushland adjacent, very humid locations) may need 6-monthly treatments. We’ll give you an honest recommendation.
What if I find a redback before you arrive?
Trap it under a container if safe to do so and mark the location. Don’t try to remove it yourself. If bitten, seek medical attention. For emergencies, call us for same-day service.
Will you harm beneficial garden spiders?
We target harbourage areas close to your home, not entire gardens. This preserves beneficial spiders that control other pests while protecting your home from dangerous species.
